Since 2024, Viennese sausage stands have been part of UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage. They are not just snack stands, but for many a social meeting place and cultural landmark of the city. The tradition of the stalls dates back to the 19th century. Over time, they have evolved to offer other snacks and drinks in addition to sausages. Locals and tourists alike meet here to chat, take a break and enjoy a drink and a bite to eat.

Bauern kämpfen um Erhalt der Bodenfruchtbarkeit
In vielen Teilen Österreich zeigt die Trockenheit,
die von Mitte März bis Mitte Mai geherrscht hat, nun Folgen.
Die Landwirte arbeiten mit Hochdruck daran, die Fruchtbarkeit des Bodens zu erhalten;
so auch Landwirte aus dem Bezirk Neunkirchen (NÖ).
